Pub won't sell craft beer bought out by brewery

A Wellington pub says it will stop selling a prominent Kiwi craft beer now it's been bought out by Lion Breweries.

It won't say how much it paid for Dunedin-based Emersons.

Wellington's Hasigo Zake bar owner Dominic Kelly says it's another sign of the bigger companies trying to eradicate smaller competition and he won't be stocking Emersons anymore.

He says now there's been a revival in small craft brew, bigger companies are back on the war path to buy them up.
