House price increases in Auckland slowed in February thanks to a number of new listings.
Barfoot and Thompson says compared with January, new listings were up 21 percent.
Managing director Peter Thompson says this is only the third time in five years that new listings have reached 1,700 in a month.
He says the greater number of properties for sale took some of the pressure off prices and the average sale price in February was around $600,000, 0.6 percent more than the average achieved in January.
