Telecom says ongoing problems with its network stemmed from a problem with upgrading software on its Auckland-based server which handles over 300,000 customers across the country.
Issues began yesterday morning and last night there was another outage caused by the re-connection of the Auckland server.
It meant the Christchurch server overloaded when the two tried to synchronise.
The Telco is now reviewing options for compensation as a third wave of Internet connectivity problems hit the country this morning.
