The number's fallen by 103 women between 2010 and 2012.
Labour MP Sue Moroney says Government appointments of a small number of high flying women are skewing statistics on female representation in the boardroom.
Ms Moroney says we need to broaden our pool of talent, not rely on a few high-achievers.
