There's optimism about the country's economic recovery from the independent think tank NZIER.
It says reviving credit growth, housing investment and the accelerating Canterbury rebuild suggest 2013 and 2014 will be better than the past four years.
Principal economist Shamubeel Eaqub says they now expect the economy to grow between two, and two and a half percent over the next few years.
He says things are neatly falling into place for a more sustainable recovery.
