J.B. Hunt Beat Q3 Earnings Estimate, Missed on Revenues

US road transportation companies’ earnings releases usually start with J.B. Hunt Transport Services (JBHT). On October 15, the company announced its third-quarter earnings after the market closed. J.B. Hunt (XTN) reported an adjusted EPS of $1.47, which exceeded analysts’ estimate by $0.07. The analysts were surveyed by Thomas Reuters. J.B. Hunt beat analysts’ adjusted earnings estimate by 5%. The company’s adjusted EPS for the third quarter rose 52% YoY (year-over-year) from $0.96 in the third quarter of 2017.
