How Retailers Are Contributing to Microsoft’s War with Amazon

It seems retailers want to have Microsoft’s (MSFT) back as the software giant takes care of theirs. Since Silicon Valley enterprise cloud startup Snowflake Computing launched in 2012, it has only used Amazon’s cloud (AMZN) to deliver its services. Snowflake, which enables customers to store and run data queries on cloud servers, is often used in retail. However, some retail customers weren’t comfortable with Snowflake only running on Amazon’s cloud. In a recent interview with CNBC, Snowflake CEO Bob Muglia said the company has now added Microsoft Azure due to strong customer demand.
