A closer look at Microsoft’s (MSFT) plan to renew its Redmond headquarters campus and how it intends to do so suggests a telling move by a legacy technology company. Tech companies such as Apple (AAPL) and Amazon (AMZN), one of which has recently opened a new headquarters campus and the other of which is looking for a location for its second headquarters, have been disruptors in their industries.
