Uber and Alphabet’s Waymo Settle Their Lawsuit

Ride-hailing company Uber Technologies has reached an agreement with Alphabet (GOOG) on its lawsuit against Uber for the alleged theft of trade secrets related to the Google-parent’s autonomous vehicle unit, Waymo. According to The Wall Street Journal, the ride-hailing company promised not to use Waymo’s technology in its self-driving cars. Uber also had to make sure that none of Waymo’s components were already being used.
