2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards nominations: See the full list

"American Fiction," "May December," "Past Lives," "I'm a Virgo," and "The Last of Us" lead the pack in film and TV nominations.

The 2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards nominations are here.

Natalie Morales (No Hard Feelings) and past nominee Joel Kim Booster (Fire Island) announced the nominees across the TV and movie categories on Tuesday. Leading the pack for most nominations are the films American Fiction, May December, and Past Lives with five nods each, and The Holdovers and Passages with four apiece. In television, I'm a Virgo and The Last of Us scored the most nominations at four each.

Kelly Reichardt's Showing Up received the Robert Altman Award, given to one film’s director, casting director, and ensemble cast, while on the TV side, Jury Duty was named the Best Ensemble Cast in a New Scripted Series.

Absent from the list are some notable titles that EW has learned were not eligible for nominations, including Maestro, Nyad, Rustin, Society of the Snow, The Killer, and They Cloned Tyrone.

Winners of the 39th Spirit Awards will be announced on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024 during a ceremony hosted by Saturday Night Live alum Aidy Bryant that will stream live on the IMDb and Film Independent's YouTube channels, and across other social platforms, beginning at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT.
