For Aussies looking to book a much needed holiday, Webjet is offering up to $75 off flights to the Gold Coast.

With valid travel dates from 19 January 2022 up to 30 August 2022, the sale is an opportunity for Aussies who are keen to escape the back-to-work blues and escape the chill of winter.

The sale will go live at 9:00am AEDT on Tuesday, 18 January and be open until Thursday, 20 January at midnight AEDT.

“The Gold Coast is one of the country's most beloved beachside cities. It is an iconic holiday destination, and these discounted flights give Aussies an unmissable opportunity to pocket great savings and enjoy a much-needed escape,” Webjet OTA CEO David Galt said.

“The broad travel window and having no blackout dates means that all eager holiday-makers can book amazing value return flights.”

Galt said the Sunshine Coast was a great destination for all Aussies, whether they were travelling with the family or using it as a means to reconnect.

“No matter if it's a family-friendly holiday that means hitting the thrilling theme parks, or a trip to the Sunshine State to reconnect with loved ones, these cheap flights are a must-book for anyone wanting to lock in their next holiday,” he said.

Queensland border reopens

The sale comes after Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk declared, "it's time for the barricades to come down" last week.

Queensland border restrictions came to an end on Saturday, 15 January.

Aussies will also no longer have to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test before entering the state.

"That means anyone coming domestically across into Queensland, either by road or by air, they do not have to show that they've had their border pass, they don't have to show that they've had a RAT," Palaszczuk said.
