AM Best to Host Webinar on How New Data, Tools Enable Better Insurance Flood Coverage

·1-min read

AM Best will host a complimentary webinar titled, "Bridging the Troubled Water Protection Gap: How New Data, Tools Enable Better Insurance Flood Coverage," sponsored by Munich Re, on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 2 p.m. (EDT).

Advances in data and analytics to quantify flood risk along with increases in capital and market capacity have allowed private insurers to take on flood risks that they may have avoided in the past. In a one-hour webinar, a panel of reinsurance, product and risk management experts will discuss the increase in severity of floods, as well as solutions and what the industry can do to spur consumers to purchase the coverage.

Register now: http://www.ambest.com/webinars/flood/index.html.

Panelists include:

  • Serena Garrahan, vice president, inland flood product manager, Munich Re U.S.;

  • Linda Jancik, product manager, American Association of Insurance Services (AAIS); and

  • Rob Olson, senior research analyst, International Risk Management Institute (IRMI).

Attendees can submit questions during registration or by emailing webinars@ambest.com. The event will be streamed in video and audio formats, and playback will be available to registered viewers shortly after the event.
