Aust shares open more than 1% lower

The Australian share market has opened more than one per cent lower.

At 1010 AEST on Wednesday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was down 59.1 points, or 1.15 per cent, at 5,082.1, while the broader All Ordinaries index was down 57.4 points, or 1.12 per cent, at 5,073.4.

On the ASX 24, the September share price index futures contract was down 62 points at 5,061, with 7,352 contracts traded.
