Yahoo Finance Bride 'Fell to the Floor' After Best Friend Flies Across the Country to Surprise Her Wedding Dress Shopping
Madison Moore was able to say "Yes" to a dress alongside her best friend from college
When Madison Moore, 28, came out of her fitting room while wedding dress shopping she was greeted with a surprise of a lifetime!
Standing outside of the dressing room was one of Moore's college best friend, Kellie Jack, who'd flown in from Texas to California to surprise her on what Moore considers one of the "most exciting days of her life."
"We have known each other since college at California State University, Long Beach," Moore tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview. "We were in the same sorority together, but Kellie was a little older than me so we didn’t know each other too well. In 2017, our other best friend, Chaz Pilarcik, and I decided to move to Los Angeles after college as roommates and we randomly ended up moving a block from Kellie."
"Kellie coordinated with my mom, Chaz, and the bridal shop to make this surprise happen," she adds. "She even had to turn off her Find My Friends so I wouldn’t see her traveling. I did not suspect a single thing. The night before I texted her saying 'Wish you were here!'
Before the surprise Moore says her my mom, dad, future mother-in-law and Pilarcik were accompanying her on the shopping trip. She says the group "made a big day out of it" and got a limo with lots of champagne.
"We went into the first wedding dress boutique, picked out some dresses and decided to try some on. I went into the fitting room, put on my first wedding dress, walked out of the room and saw Kellie standing right in front of me," the bride-to-be says.
"I immediately lost all control of my legs and fell to the floor in this big, pristinely white wedding dress. I’m not a big cryer, but immediately felt tears falling down my face," Moore says. "She met me on the floor and gave me a big hug. The look on the woman’s face who worked there was hilarious. She definitely didn’t like seeing her wedding dress on the floor!"

A TikTok video Moore posted to her account captures the moment the two friends reunited. Moore says Jack had been planning the surprise for a month.

"My reaction was shock. I have never had a video go viral in my life, but I think people just love seeing a genuine friendship between two girls. I’ve gotten comments saying 'I love girlhood' and 'Female friendships are everything,'" Moore says.
She continues: "I’ve also seen people sharing stories about their own best friends. I will always treasure this moment with my best friend and I’m happy I get to share it with others online too!"
In the end, Moore adds that she did say "yes" to a dress for her July 2024 wedding in Temecula, California, which will be hosted at a winery.
"My two best friends, Kellie and Chaz, both helped me find the dress. We went to two wedding dress boutiques that day and we said yes to the very last dress I tried on," she says. "We had to kiss a lot of frogs but eventually found the one. We immediately knew that it was my wedding dress. It was amazing having both of my best friends there for that moment."
