Yahoo Finance Bling Empire fans think Chèrie has been throwing shade at Kane on Instagram
Bling Empire season two is back on Netflix and, while there's plenty of drama on screen, fans reckon Chèrie Chan has been throwing shade at Kane Lim off screen too.
If you're new to the show, Bling Empire follows a wealthy Asian and Asian American community in LA, with the cast enjoying a life of luxury complete with their fair share of drama and fallings out. Series two dropped on Netflix on 13th May, and there's a whole lot to catch up on.
As for Chèrie and Kane, we've already seen the pair clashing on screen. Season two episodes saw Kane having run-ins with various fellow cast members, including a fall out with Dorothy Wang and causing romance drama for Kevin Kreider and Kim Lee. What's more, he was also found to be spreading gossip around Chèrie's relationship with husband Jessey Lee.
Fans have previously been calling Kane out for his behaviour on the show - and now viewers reckon Chèrie has been making digs at Kane on Instagram too.
To recap, much of Chèrie's season two drama surrounded Jessey's previous relationship with ex-wife Crystal - with Chèrie and Jessey mysteriously disappearing partway through the show. Kane was upset that Chèrie had kept Jessey's previous marriage a secret from him, putting a strain on their friendship.
Now, fans think Chèrie is throwing shade at Kane in her recent Instagram post, while also defending her marriage to Jessey and his previous divorce. Posting screenshots from an interview with Brides about her secret marriage to Jessey, Chèrie wrote in the caption, "Married to the love of my life."
She went on, "Don’t be friends with people who try to hurt your family, kids, and close friends. I will protect you always. 👨👩👧👦👩👧👧 It’s ok to marry, fall in love, have kids, divorce, marry again, we should always celebrate love and be there for one another. #positivevibesonly."
Responding to the post, one viewer commented, "Honestly you both are amazing and clearly there are haters and jealous people in the cast. They don't want to celebrate your love. The past is the past, who cares?"
Chèrie then followed up with another post, thanking friend Anna Shay. Season two saw Anna sticking up for Chèrie and stopping Kane from gossiping about her, telling him,"Let's pretend this conversation never took place," later adding, "Gossip to me is absolutely diabolical."
In her new post, Chèrie wrote, "Thank you @annashay93 for the wonderful play date yesterday with Jadore and I. Congratulations on season 2 release and showing us again why you are the real queen bee 👸🏻."
Followers seemed to think the post was a reference to the Kane drama, with one commenting, "Yes! Anna was the only one who did not play into the 'gossip'. Kane was MESSY this season."
A lot going on here, then.
