Coca-Cola (KO) Stock Sinks As Market Gains: What You Should Know

In the latest trading session, Coca-Cola (KO) closed at $60.31, marking a -0.72% move from the previous day. This change lagged the S&P 500's daily gain of 0.24%. Meanwhile, the Dow gained 0.03%, and the Nasdaq, a tech-heavy index, added 5.73%.

Heading into today, shares of the world's largest beverage maker had lost 4.96% over the past month, outpacing the Consumer Staples sector's loss of 5.29% and lagging the S&P 500's gain of 3.56% in that time.

Wall Street will be looking for positivity from Coca-Cola as it approaches its next earnings report date. The company is expected to report EPS of $0.71, up 1.43% from the prior-year quarter.
