Cyclone barely hit Evolution's gold output

Evolution Mining produced 202,926 ounces of gold in the March quarter despite Cyclone Debbie halting output for five days at one of its two key mines.

The company says that despite the cyclone, the Mount Carlton mine in central Queensland has had "another exceptionally strong quarter" and, along with the new Ernest Henry mine, helped Evolution lift overall production above its guidance of 200,000 ounces in the three months to March 31.

Evolution says it still expects to comfortably deliver its full-year gold production guidance of 800,000 to 860,000 ounces.
