Any unused Dine & Discover vouchers will expire on June 30 but that doesn’t mean they will go to waste.

The voucher scheme was introduced in early 2021 as a way to boost business activity when the state reopened after strict COVID-19 lockdowns.

Under the scheme, adult residents received six $25 vouchers to be spent at cafes, restaurants, bars and entertainment and recreation venues.

But, there are millions of dollars worth of the vouchers that have gone unused.

Here are some of the best ways to get the most out of your vouchers before it’s too late.

Dine & Discover hacks

Gift cards

That’s right - a lot of venues will accept the vouchers for the purchase of gift cards.

Gift cards must be valid for at least three years, so your voucher that is expiring in a couple of days could be extended to three years.

Pay it forward

For those feeling charitable, the Pay it Forward scheme allows you to donate your unused gift card to certain businesses around the country.

The donated vouchers can be used for anything from giving sick kids an experience at the reptile park or providing mental health support to flood victims.
