Fletcher Building appoints new CIO

Fletcher Building Limited announces that it has appointed John Bell to the position of Chief Information Officer.

John is currently a senior partner with Deloitte Consulting in Auckland and has over 30 years business consulting experience working in both public and private sectors, leading complex programmes of work, from business case through design and implementation to post-implementation and benefits realisation.

John has had a variety of leadership roles, and has worked with Deloitte in Canada, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He has a broad range of experience in business strategy, sourcing, business transformation and information technology.

Fletcher Building chief executive officer Mark Adamson said he was delighted John had agreed to join the company.

"John will be responsible for delivering our IT strategy, which includes rationalisation of our core systems together with building out our new digital platforms. His extensive experience in managing the implementation of complex programmes of this nature will be invaluable and I look forward to working with him", Mr Adamson said.

John will take up his role with Fletcher Building in November.
