Yahoo Finance Florence Pugh Leaves A Cheeky Comment On Ex Zach Braff's Latest Instagram Post
Florence Pugh and Zach Braff were believed to have been dating for three years before she recently confirmed their split.
Pugh previously starred in a short movie directed by the Scrubs star.
While the couple largely kept their relationship out of the public eye, choosing not to appear on red carpets together even when Pugh was nominated for an Oscar for Little Women, they found themselves unwillingly thrust into the spotlight on several occasions when they had spoken up to defend their age gap and counter 'abusive' and hurtful comments on social media.
When they didn't have to tackle the negativity, it seemed the former couple lived a quiet life in Los Angeles, having 'locked down' together during the Covid-19 pandemic and adopted a dog.
Pugh also evidently supported her partner following the death of his close friend Nick Cordero, due to the Coronavirus.
11/11/22: Florence Pugh jokes she's 'bidding' for Zoom time with ex Zach Braff
Despite having broken up earlier this year, Pugh has shown the world that she's still on good terms with her ex.
On November 10 the Scrubs actor shared a post on Instagram to tell fans that they could bid on eBay for a 30-minute Zoom conversation with him and his former co-star Donald Aison.
'ALL proceeds go to build specially-designed homes for severely wounded veterans via Homes For Our Troops,' he shared.
Minutes later the British actor commented on the post: 'I’m deffo bidding on this.'
Braff replied: 'I’m certain you could get this for free, but it is a very good cause for veterans….'
We're happy to see the pair still on good terms following their split.
16/08/22: Florence Pugh confirms split from Zach Braff
Florence Pugh has confirmed her split from boyfriend of three years Zach Braff, after the Don't Worry Darling actor, 26, started dating Braff, 47, in 2019.
In a new interview with Harper's Bazaar, Pugh confirmed she and Braff broke up earlier this year and initially wanted to keep their news private. This was due to people having already spoken out about their romance.
She told the publication: 'We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing, because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on.
'We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together. So we’ve done that. I automatically get a lumpy throat when I talk about it.’
Pugh also deemed the gossip and false rumours surrounding people's personal life 'incredibly wrong'.
She said: 'I don’t think that people, just because they have this job, that every aspect of their life should be watched and written about. We haven’t signed up for a reality TV show.'

Speaking to The Sunday Times in July 2021, Pugh expressed her desire only to do what pleases her, and not other people. And in that vein, she addressed her relationship with Scrubs actor Zach Braff.
Pugh referenced the number of people who have swarmed to her rare social media posts of them as a couple, with the intention to 'sh** on it,' saying: 'It’s my life and I’m not doing anything to please people or to make it a better headline or story. I want to also be a person!'
Considering what it is about their relationship that people object to, the Little Women star conceded: 'I think it bugs people that it’s not who they expected,' and agrees that people probably wouldn't have a problem with her dating a younger star like Timothée Chalamet.
07/04/21: Florence Pugh shares loving tribute for Zach Braff's Birthday
After receiving a heartfelt birthday post on social media early this year from Braff, it seemed only right that Pugh made sure to return the PDA favour on Instagram for the actor's 46th celebration.
Pugh celebrated her boyfriend's big day with a special Instagram tribute on April 6. The photo carousel shows the actor snuggled up against their dog, Billie, as well as a photo of the Scrubs star in questionably odd footwear.
'It's this magical persons birthday. A year ago we got Billie three days before Zach's day and she's flopped on her back for tummy tickles from him like this ever since,' captioned Pugh.
'A special day for a special fella requires special foot wear and fluffy trackies.. Obvi. His need to make people laugh and smile is never ending, his constant generosity and love for others is infectious, his creativity and ability to put real and honest words onto the page inspires many and all who's around him, but above all.. his appreciation for life and excitement for LIVING is something I always take note of, [sic]' continued Midsommar star.

04/01/21: Zach Braff Posts Heartfelt Birthday Post To Florence Pugh
To celebrate the Midsommar star's 25th birthday, Braff shared a series of photographs of his partner to Instagram, along with an effusive message. In the collage, Braff shared a rare selfie of the couple together on a plane and another of the couple arm in arm on a hike.
Calling Pugh 'the most fun person I've ever met', Braff wished the British actor a happy birthday, writing: 'I would have felt blessed to have smiled with your for one night. I can’t believe I get to giggle with you everyday. What a pleasure it is to know you. What a gift to the world it was that you were born.'
09/11/20: Zach Braff Praises Florence Pugh's Handling Of Age Gap Criticism
Zach Braff explained why he hadn't weighed into his girlfriend Florence Pugh’s defence of their 21-year age gap.
In April, the actor spoke out against hateful comments she’d received on social media in response to her romance with the actor.
‘It is the first time in my entire Instagram life that I’ve had to turn off the comments on my page,’ she said in a video addressing the ‘bullying’, adding, ‘I have only been an Instagram that tries to bring some light and tries to be positive and tries to make people smile.’
‘The world is aching, and the world is dying, and a few of you decided to bully for no reason.… I’m 24 years old. I do not need you to tell me who I should or should not love.... It is not your place, and really, it has nothing to do with you.’
In an interview with MR PORTER, Braff opened up about the video.
‘She literally sat down, hit record on her phone and said that,’ he said of Pugh’s clip. ‘I thought: how could I possibly follow anything as intelligent and articulate as that? So, I chose not to.’

In April, the Little Women star was forced to take to her Instagram page after receiving 'abuse' and 'bullying' comments surrounding her relationship, in particular the couple's 21 year age gap. The negative comments came after Pugh had shared a birthday tribute in honour of her partner to mark his 45th trip around the sun.
Speaking about this decision to address her followers and fans in a conversation with Sue Perkins on her podcast 'An Hour Or So With', Pugh said: 'I've always found it funny how I can be good enough for people to watch my work, support it and pay for tickets and I'm old enough to be an adult and pay taxes but I'm not old enough to know who I should and should not have sex with. Yet again, it's making a young woman feel like sh*t for no reason.'
'I did feel sh*t for a while for admitting that and then I thought, how ridiculous. I'm 24 and I can't chose who I love.'
Pugh and Perkins then discussed how the trolls don't know Pugh well enough to discuss who she should actually then be with.
'Are they closer to me in age?' Pugh questioned sarcastically. '... There's a reason why I'm not with someone my age. It hasn't worked. So who are you trying to match me up with?'

Gracing ELLE's June cover, Pugh spoke about her continued disbelief that people think they have the right to comment on her relationship just because she is in the public eye.
She said: 'I’ve always found this part of what people do really bizarre. I’m an actor because I like acting and I don’t mind people watching my stuff, but people have no right to educate me on my private life.
‘I know that part of being in the spotlight is that people might invade your privacy and have opinions on it, but it’s bizarre that normal folk are allowed to display such hate and opinions on a part of my life that I’m not putting out there. It’s a strange side of fame that you’re allowed to be torn apart by thousands of people even though you didn’t put that piece of you out there.'

After wishing her boyfriend Braff a happy 45th birthday on Instagram, Pugh took to her account via video message hitting back at 'cyberbullies' who left 'abusive' messages on her page following her post.
While simultaneously confirming her relationship with Braff publicly for the first time, Pugh said: 'I'll underline this fact. I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love and I would never in my life who they can and cannot love. It is not your place and really it has nothing to do with you.'
