Gene Tilbrook to retire from Fletcher Building Board

Fletcher Building Limited advises that Gene Tilbrook has indicated he will retire as a director of the company and as a director of Fletcher Building Industries Limited, with effect from the first quarter of 2015.

Commenting on Mr Tilbrook’s retirement from the board, Fletcher Building Chairman Sir Ralph Norris said:

"Due to an increase in the number of commitments, and in particular his recent appointment to the board of Woodside Petroleum Limited in Australia, Gene has indicated that he would no longer be able to dedicate the time required to discharge his duties as a director of Fletcher Building. On behalf of the board I would like to thank Gene for the significant contribution that he has made to the board during his tenure since 2009. Fletcher Building has benefitted from his deep financial and strategic experience and his knowledge of the Australian market in particular."

The board, which comprises eight directors, will now undertake a process to identify a suitably experienced director to replace Mr Tilbrook.
