Global Payments was incorporated in Georgia as Global Payments Inc. in 2000 and spun-off from its former parent company in 2001. Including its time as part of its former parent company, it has been in the payment technology services business since 1967. Since its spin-off, the company has expanded in existing markets and into new markets internationally by pursuing further acquisitions and joint ventures.

GPN boasts a Growth Style Score of B and VGM Score of B, and holds a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) rating. Its bottom-line is projected to rise 16.9% year-over-year for 2022, while Wall Street anticipates its top line to improve by 8.7%.

Eight analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days, and the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.02 to $9.54 per share for 2022. GPN boasts an average earnings surprise of 3.1%.

Global Payments is also cash rich. The company has generated cash flow growth of 53.1%, and is expected to report cash flow expansion of 15.5% in 2022.
