The Power is almost here, and we can’t wait. The sci-fi series, based on the best-selling book by Naomi Alderman, is set in a world where teenage girls develop the power to manipulate electricity at will.
The eight-part season stars Toni Collette, Auli’l Cravalho, Halle Bushand more and it’s set to be so good. So, here’s how you can watch The Power in the UK.
What is The Power About?
Based on Naomi Alderman’s 2016 sci-fi story, The Power is based on a world where teenage girls develop a genetic mutation that once lay dormant, but now allows them to control electricity.
This new power causes a huge shift across the world, and the series follows five main characters – Allie, Roxy, Margot, Jocelyn and Tunde – who all harbour or are affected by the power in different ways.
It is set across the globe, from London to Lagos to Seattle to eastern Europe, to see how power plays out differently and it is set to include tonnes of drama and action. So, yes, you should be watching.
Where can I watch The Power in the UK?
The Power is available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video from 31st March, with episodes being released every Friday until the series finale on 5th May.
Prime membership costs £8.99 per month if you go for a monthly subscription, or £95 for the year, which works out at about £1 cheaper a month. The service is free for Amazon Prime members, which, if you already get free delivery on your purchases, you may already have.
