Concern over threats of further industrial action at Ports of Auckland.
Facilitation has failed to resolve the dispute, and now the Maritime Union has threatened to take further strike action.
Daniel Silva from the Importers Institute says recently the port has been operating as usual.
He says if industrial action goes ahead, it would make Christmas shopping very expensive.
"If they are unable to resolve their differences, and if the union delivers on their threat to go back on strike, then it could be disastrous, especially at this time of year, which is when all the Christmas goods are coming in now."
Mr Silva says it would divert ships to other ports, pushing up the price of goods.
