Jennifer Lawrence just sat down with fellow Oscar-winner Viola Davis for Variety's iconic Actors on Actors video interview. The Don't Look Up star, who was literally starstruck upon meeting Viola, and confirmed it was the 'biggest honour' of her life, chatted all things fame, film and family, and even got personal about a few things. Including one of her breakout roles, Katniss Everdeen in the dystopian adventure saga, The Hunger Games.

Revealing how she felt it was such 'an awesome responsibility,' the 32-year-old also admitted she was aware that she was stepping into some massive role-model shoes. 'Those books were huge,' she said, 'and I knew that the audience was children.'

Despite this, the mum-of-one recalled that 'the biggest conversation was, "How much weight are you going to lose?"'

'Along with me being young and growing and not able to be on a diet, I don’t know if I want all of the girls who are going to dress up as Katniss to feel like they can’t because they’re not a certain weight,' she added.

'And I can’t let that seep into my brain either.'

In terms of The Hunger Games, (the first film was released over 10 years ago, in March 2012) Jennifer also unpacked the fact there'd never been a woman in the lead of an action movie before.

Stating that back then, it apparently 'wouldn't work because we were told girls and boys can both identify with a male lead, but boys cannot identify with a female lead,' the Passengers actor did comment on how far the film industry has come since then.

'It just makes me so happy every single time I see a movie come out that just blows through every one of those beliefs, and proves that it is just a lie to keep certain people out of the movies. To keep certain people in the same positions that they’ve always been in,' she said.

We're absolutely here for the boundary-breaking.
