The actor's eldest son Jett died at age 16 in January 2009
John Travolta is honoring his son Jett for his birthday.
The proud father, 70, paid a touching tribute to his late son in an Instagram post on April 12, a day ahead of what would have been Jett's 32nd birthday.
“Happy birthday my Jetty — not a day goes by where you’re not with me!” Travolta wrote in the caption of his post.
Alongside his message, the actor shared a throwback photo where he also honored his late wife Kelly Preston, as the snap showed him standing with Preston as she held Jett in between them. Jett, who was younger in the photo, flashed a big smile in the shot as he wrapped his arms around his mother.

Travolta’s birthday tribute to Jett comes after celebrating his daughter Ella’s birthday last week.
On Wednesday, April 3, the Hairspray star posted a sweet video montage of Ella decorating her birthday cake on her special day. “Happy birthday Ella,” he told her as he filmed her. “Thank you,” Ella replied, smiling.
Travolta then asked her, “What are doing?” Ella replied, “Baking a cake.” The actor zoomed in on the chocolate cake, adding, “Oh that looks beautiful, very good. Happy birthday hun.”
The clip then showed Ella sitting with her dad in his classic car as he pulled out of his driveway.
“It’s Ella’s birthday,” Travolta shouted. A shot of Ella’s birthday gifts arranged in a pilewere nest was shown followed by a clip of her blowing out her candles on her cake, while the tribute closed out with the words, ‘Happy Birthday Ella’ flashing up white letters over a photo of her face.
