Kanye West has been pictured at Chicago and Stormi's joint birthday party, after initially taking to Instagram to express his frustration over not being invited.

On Saturday 15 January, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner hosted a joint fourth birthday celebration for Chicago (Kim and Kanye's daughter) and Stormi (Kylie and Travis Scott's daughter, whose birthdays fall on 15 January and 1 February respectively.

Judging from the Kardashian-Jenners Insta stories, it was *quite* the event, complete with a ginormous ball pit, a mega sweet stall, and err, is that a bust of Stormi's head we spy?

However, the day got to a shaky start when Kanye went live on Instagram to claim that he hadn't received an invite to his daughter's birthday party. He said (via Metro), "I was just wishing my daughter a public happy birthday. I wasn’t allowed to know where her party was, there’s nothing legal that’s saying that this is the kind of game that’s being played."

The award-winning rapper continued, "It’s the kind of thing that really has affected my health for the longest and I’m just not playing. I’m taking control of my narrative this year. I’m being the best father — the Ye version of a father — and I’m not finna let this happen. … Chicago, Happy birthday. I love you and I’m just putting this online because I need y’all’s support."

However, it looked like it all worked out in the end, as Kanye was pictured chatting to Kris Jenner at the party. Atiana De La Hoya, who is Travis Barker's step-daughter, shared a video to her Instagram Stories of the party, which showed Kris and Kanye having a chin-wag.

After leaving the party, Kanye took to Instagram to update his followers on the situation, saying (via Metro), "I’m so happy right now, I just came from Chi’s party.

"I just got to shout out to Travis Scott for sending me the address and the time and making sure that I was able to spend that birthday memory with my daughter to be there with the rest of the family, I just saw everybody; Kris, Corey and Kylie – Kylie let me in when I got to the spot because security stopped me once again when I got there.

"It’s just a matter of having a conversation, open dialogue and everyone just had a great time and I’m really happy that I could be there for my children and I just thank everybody for their support in this situation because it’s letting me just calmly and legally take control of my narrative.

"I know we disagree, people have a lot of different opinions on the things I do but with this one, this is my main focus, my life centres around my children and I just had a great time today. Thanks everybody for their support."

All's well that ends well, eh?
