Kiwis sold on First National - Canstar

Home buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants have rated First National New Zealand’s No.1 real estate agency. Based on a survey of 1,162 adults who have used the services of a real estate agent in the last three years, the ratings from, consumer research company Canstar Blue, saw the Taranaki-based agency outrank six others to top the table. First National earned five-star reviews for its property management, customer service, communications and overall customer satisfaction. It also scored the highest rating on value for money, while Barfoot & Thompson achieved top marks for property sales and advice. "Before making any commitments with a real estate agency, it’s important to do your research, find out what they specialise in, and ask other people about their experiences," said Canstar New Zealand General Manager Jose George. "These ratings reflect the opinions of over 1,100 New Zealanders who have been active in the property market and should be a helpful guide to those preparing any big decisions. "No matter what you use an estate agent for, getting good customer service and value for money should be high on the agenda. In a hugely competitive space, First National is clearly impressing." The survey, which included feedback from Kiwis who were buying, selling, renting or leasing property in New Zealand, found that 73% of respondents enjoy a good relationship with their real estate agent and 69% said they are quick to handle their request or complaints. In addition, 65% would recommend them to a friend. However, just 23% said they have always used the same real estate agent. "If you find a good real estate agent, they may well have a customer for life," added Mr George. "When you’re dealing with money - or your own property - it’s important to have an agent that you trust to do a good job. "In this, the first year of these ratings, it’s clear that Kiwis who put their faith in First National are glad they did so."
