Lady Gaga's New Bleached Blonde French Girl Fringe Is Très Chic

It's a new year, and naturally, a new opportunity to reinvent ourselves through our look. After all, if there's one way to shake off the bad vibes from the past two years, it's by changing up our hair style. Right?

Well it turns out, celebrities, they're just like us. Case in point, the carousel of new hair styles that we've been seeing since the start on the year. From Hunter Schaffer's micro fringe to Rihanna's red and black stripy liquid hair, the urge to go shorter, bolder and more unexpected has swept through the A-list crowd.

Dependable and unfailing when it comes to giving us some much-needed hair inspiration, it wasn't going to be long before Lady Gaga unveiled the next stage of her beauty evolution. In a completely different look to her House of Gucci brown shoulder length blow-out, Gaga's latest hair debut has seen her swap a sleek middle parting for an elegant, sweeping French girl fringe.

The 35-year-old singer and actor snapped a photo on Instagram with the platinum blonde updo and an iridescent lime green dress (a combo she pulls off flawlessly). Gaga has gone for a decidedly 1970s vibe with her fringe, styling it with flicked up ends, signalling that the decade's influence on contemporary hairstyles isn't going anywhere for 2022.

Alongside swooping French fringes, bottleneck bangs are another style which hairstylists have tipped to be one of the most in-demand cuts for 2022. Taking it a little bit shorter in the middle towards the brow and then going longer at the ends to frame the cheekbones, bottleneck bangs were coined by hairstylist Tom Smith and have graced the faces of celebrities such as Margot Robbie.

With Gaga's notorious love of changing up her hair more often than natural hair growth would allow (relatable), there's a chance that this style is another taken from her wig collection, which cameos in the background of her Instagram selfie. Either way, we're hoping the fringe and icy blonde hues are here to stay for a little while longer, or at least long enough for us to get down the hairdressers to try it out ourselves.
