Yahoo Finance Lili Reinhart just made the case for giant shoulder pads
Riverdale actress Lili Reinhart is undergoing a major style metamorphosis at the moment. On a press tour promoting her new Netflix film, Look both Ways, she's been styling some serious looks - ones that feel like a pretty big departure from the star's more classic outfits.
Like, for example, this superhero-esque mock neck dress she wore on The Tonight Show, complete with a leather bum bag / belt hybrid accessory. The actress shared a clip with her 28 million Instagram followers of an ice cream taste test with host Jimmy Fallon, and fans could get a closer look at the fashion forward 'fit. It's pretty bold - a far cry from what Betty Cooper, her squeaky-clean Riverdale character, would wear.
Last night, paps spotted her strolling midtown Manhattan in some v chic tailoring. The actress wore a chocolate brown suit with wide leg trousers, a bustier top, and a very oversized blazer. This is a Fashion Girl blazer - not for the faint of heart. She kept the focus on the tailoring with simple accessories: black pointed courts, a gold chain choker necklace, and gold earrings.
The chic suit is by SIR The Label, and if you've got £465 on hand, you can snag the same one from Selfridges. The classic dad blazer is still in heavy rotation in our wardrobes (well, at least whenever this UK heatwave ends), and we're wearing ours with everything from straight leg jeans to white dresses. And for nights out, we're giving blazer dresses a spin.
