Yahoo Finance Love Island's Kai shares his students' hilarious response to coupling up with Sanam
Love Island winner Kai Fagan has revealed the reaction his former students had to him coupling up with Sanam Harrinanan, and their response is hilarious.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan UK's Text On The Beach (which you can watch above btw) after winning the series, Kai shared that his students had messaged him to congratulate him on his win and shared the one condition they had for him appearing on the show.
He said: "Since I've got my phone back, I've been going through my DMs and all of them have basically said the same thing 'Sir if you're going to leave us to go on Love Island, let's make sure you get the fittest girl in there'.
"And then since I've come out it was: 'fair play sir, you got the fittest girl in there and you won it.'"
Kai was a secondary school teacher before he appeared on Love Island and he and girlfriend Sanam, who worked as a social worker, bonded over their love of helping children whilst in the villa.
The couple also shared with Cosmopolitan UK that whilst they would love to return to their jobs, they don't think it will be possible and instead will be using some of their £50k prize fund towards helping children.
"I would love to be able to return to my job, but I just don't think it's going to be possible after this. However, I would still love to be able to do something alongside of whatever route I go down to still support the children that I worked with," Sanam said.
Kai and Sanam were crowned the winners of Love Island 2023 after falling in love when Sanam entered the villa during Casa Amor.
Their relationship got off to a smooth start and they quickly became the fan favourites for remaining drama free.
