McDonald's to accept Monopoly money

Kiwis are being encouraged to raid their MONOPOLY game banks as tomorrow for one day only McDonald’s will be the first business in New Zealand to accept MONOPOLY game money in return for a small frozen coke. The initiative celebrates the return of the MONOPOLY Millionaire game to McDonald’s. $5 million worth of prizes will be given away, making it the biggest prize pool the company has ever offered in New Zealand. McDonald’s New Zealand director of marketing, Chris Brown, is excited about MONOPOLY Millionaire which will see over a million prizes up for grabs including holidays, entertainment packs, 700,000 McDonald’s menu items and even a car. "We know MONOPOLY game is a Kiwi summer favourite so if you open up your cupboards and bring a MONOPOLY game money note into a McDonald’s restaurant tomorrow, we’ll exchange it for a free small frozen coke. "On top of that, MONOPOLY Millionaire gives McDonald’s customers a one in five chance of winning some of the greatest prizes we’ve ever offered.
