Nike (NKE) Stock Sinks As Market Gains: What You Should Know

Nike (NKE) closed at $168.91 in the latest trading session, marking a -0.78% move from the prior day. This move lagged the S&P 500's daily gain of 1.17%. Elsewhere, the Dow gained 1.87%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq added 0.62%.

Heading into today, shares of the athletic apparel maker had lost 4.1% over the past month, outpacing the Consumer Discretionary sector's loss of 8.83% and lagging the S&P 500's loss of 2.46% in that time.

Wall Street will be looking for positivity from Nike as it approaches its next earnings report date. This is expected to be December 20, 2021. The company is expected to report EPS of $0.62, down 20.51% from the prior-year quarter. Our most recent consensus estimate is calling for quarterly revenue of $11.23 billion, down 0.09% from the year-ago period.
