Pharmacybrands invests in home healthcare market

Pharmacybrands announced today that it has invested in Auckland-based community nursing and home healthcare provider, Total Care Health Services.

Peter Merton, Chairman of Pharmacybrands commented that the company has previously signalled a desire to extend its primary health care services and the investment in Total Care Health Services was the first step in that direction.

"We applaud the work Total Care Health Services have done and look forward to working alongside them as they continue their growth in providing community nursing, home care support services and education for the primary healthcare sector" says Mr Merton.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Pharmacybrands, Health Services Limited, has become a 50% shareholder in Total Care Health Services.

Established in 2007, Total Care Health Services is jointly owned and managed by directors Sally Fisher and Lynn Stuart who will continue to manage the business. Total Care Health Services employs a team of 120 experienced and specialist employees who provide services on a 24/7 basis from Whangarei to Hamilton.
