Reliance Steel (RS) Misses Q3 Earnings Estimates

Reliance Steel (RS) came out with quarterly earnings of $2.42 per share, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.70 per share. This compares to earnings of $1.30 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -10.37%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this metals service-center company would post earnings of $2.71 per share when it actually produced earnings of $3.10, delivering a surprise of 14.39%.
