What restaurants are open July 4? Applebee's, Chipotle, Chick-fil-A are among eateries open this Independence Day

There will be fewer professional fireworks displays this Fourth of July and more socially-distanced barbecues.

But if you're not firing up the grill, most national restaurant chains are open in some capacity Saturday.

With at least 21 states pausing reopening or taking new steps to limit the spread of the coronavirus, which restaurants are open to dine in this weekend will vary greatly depending on where you live.

According to data from Womply, a small business software provider, 20% of restaurants are still closed.

“Independence Day is typically slow for restaurants, and it should be even slower this year due to COVID-19," said Brad Plothow, Womply vice president of corporate marketing and communications. Plothow recommended "showing your favorite local eatery some love by looking for places that offer takeout, delivery or curbside pickup.”
