Salesforce.com (CRM) Outpaces Stock Market Gains: What You Should Know

Salesforce.com (CRM) closed the most recent trading day at $159.86, moving +0.52% from the previous trading session. The stock outpaced the S&P 500's daily gain of 0.36%. At the same time, the Dow added 0.73%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq lost 0.11%.

Coming into today, shares of the customer-management software developer had gained 4.53% in the past month. In that same time, the Computer and Technology sector lost 0.17%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.73%.

CRM will be looking to display strength as it nears its next earnings release, which is expected to be November 20, 2018. In that report, analysts expect CRM to post earnings of $0.50 per share. This would mark year-over-year growth of 28.21%. Meanwhile, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenue is projecting net sales of $3.37 billion, up 25.68% from the year-ago period.
