SINGAPORE — The Housing & Development Board (HDB) on Tuesday (28 June) launched an executive condominium (EC) site at Bukit Batok West Avenue 5 for sale by public tender.

This is the second EC site in Bukit Batok West launched by the HDB in less than a year. The government launched a site at Bukit Batok West Avenue 8 in December last year.

The site at Bukit Batok West Avenue 5 has a 99-year lease and falls under under the confirmed list of first half 2022 government land sales (GLS) programme.

The land parcel is expected to have 495 EC units across a site area of 16,623.7 sq m with a maximum gross floor of 49,872 sq m. The building will have a maximum height of 60 to 70m Singapore height datum.

The area will be close to Bukit Batok Hillside Park, Hong Kah North Community Club and Le Quest Shopping Mall at Bukit Batok Street 41.

HDB stated in its press release that the tender for the land parcel will close at 12pm on 13 September 2022. The tender closing for this site will be together with two residential sale sites launched by the Urban Redevelopment Authority at Lentor Central and Lentor Hills Road.

The Bukit Batok West Avenue 8 site, which sits adjacent to the newly launched site at Avenue 5, is smaller, with an estimated yield of 375 units. Tender for this site closed on 8 March with nine tenderers announced during the provisional tender results.

The site was awarded to CNQC-OS (2) and SNC Realty, at the tender price of $266 million on 22 March.
