Spire (SR) Q3 Earnings Meet Estimates

Spire (SR) came out with quarterly earnings of $0.01 per share, in line with the Zacks Consensus Estimate. This compares to earnings of $0.06 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

A quarter ago, it was expected that this natural gas distributor would post earnings of $3.08 per share when it actually produced earnings of $3.42, delivering a surprise of 11.04%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.

Spire , which belongs to the Zacks Utility - Gas Distribution industry, posted revenues of $448 million for the quarter ended June 2022, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 37.66%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $327.8 million. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates three times over the last four quarters.

The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call.

Spire shares have added about 13% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's decline of -12.8%.

This maker of soft drinks, juices, teas, flavored water and energy drinks is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.16 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of -5.9%. The consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has remained unchanged over the last 30 days.

Primo's revenues are expected to be $549.74 million, up 4.5% from the year-ago quarter.
