STMicroelectronics: 2Q Earnings Snapshot

GENEVA (AP) _ STMicroelectronics NV (STM) on Wednesday reported second-quarter earnings of $261 million.

On a per-share basis, the Geneva-based company said it had net income of 29 cents.

The chip company posted revenue of $2.27 billion in the period.

STMicroelectronics shares have risen 8 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 42 percent in the last 12 months.
