This Straightening Brush Has Even "Very Skeptical" Shoppers Convinced They'll Never Use a Flat Iron Again

Even as someone who loves my super-curly hair, I've spent many, many hours in pursuit of glossy, sleek strands. The grass is truly always greener, so I've become something of an expert in hot brushes and straightening tools. And as surprising as it was when Revlon came out of the gate with its game-changing One Step, the best-in-class blow-out brush has held court ever since. That is, until now. Enter: Tymo's Hair Straightening Comb, a competitor that shoppers say gives the Revlon brush a run for its money — and is 33 percent off ahead of Cyber Monday.

Several shoppers compare the Tymo comb to Revlon's, with one noting, "It works way better than I expected! It certainly outperforms my daughter's Revlon straightening brush, by far." It's not quite a one-to-one comparison, though: Where Revlon's brush dries hair while smoothing it, the Tymo comb is best used to straighten out dry curls and waves for a sleek finish. There, the effects put standard straightening irons to shame. "I have 4c, very, very thick natural hair. I don't take very good care of it, either," wrote a laudably honest user, adding, "I am truly amazed and happy with the results. My hair is soft, shiny, silky, and bone-straight. I feel like I went to a salon."

According to commenters, the lightweight brush doesn't leave their arms fatigued (major brownie points), and easily detangles frizzy, coarse textures to leave hair shiny and smooth. Even after using luxury brands like GHD, fans call Tymo's invention "by far the best," since the effects are near-instantaneous — and where the One-Step is too bulky for some customers' thin and short hair, the Tymo sneaks in to do the job well. "It will leave you speechless. This product is insanely great and affordable," wrote a hair tool veteran. "A single pass is all you need to see your hair looking straight and silky and smooth."

Another devotee emphasized that because of the way the comb's tongs are aligned, it's "virtually impossible" to burn yourself while using it, because it takes a single sweep through your locks to leave them smooth (plus, it features five heat settings and an included heat-proof glove).

"I kept seeing promotional ads for the Tymo on Instagram, and I was very skeptical," wrote a last convert. "But now that I've used it to straighten my 3c/4a natural hair, I probably will never use my flat iron again. This tool straightened my roots better than any flat iron I've used... My hair is silky and has movement as if I just received a permanent relaxer. So. Freaking. Awesome."

Intrigued? I know I am, and I literally have five straightening tools in the very room I'm sitting. The heart wants what it wants, and it wants this deal ASAP. Try the $40 hot comb for yourself while it's still on sale.
