Yahoo Finance Tristan shares cryptic message about facing his 'demons' on Instagram
Tristan Thompson has taken to Instagram to share a cryptic message about facing his "demons". It comes just a few weeks after he confirmed he had fathered a third child with his personal trainer, later apologising to ex-girlfriend Khloé Kardashian for causing "heartache and humiliation".
"Sometimes you don't realise your own strength until you face your greatest weakness," the 30-year-old wrote in a post on his Instagram Story last night (21 January). "Hide from your demons and they'll slowly destroy your potential. Face them and they can potentially become your greatest asset."
While the post doesn't give too much away, the NBA player has been noticeably inactive on social media since the drama that he had fathered another child unfolded at the end of last year. He hasn't posted on his Instagram feed since November 2021, but on 4 January 2022 he took to his Story to confirm the allegations were true.
"Paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son," he told his 3.5 million followers. "Khloé, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry."
In recent years, Khloé has made no secret of her desire to have another child with Tristan. Speaking in the final series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which aired last year, she spoke candidly about her search for a surrogate and that she would like to give three-year-old True (whom she shares with Tristan) a sibling.
