Wait, is there a Happy Valley finale spoiler in the poster?

Is there a Happy Valley spoiler in the poster? BBC

Prepare yourself people, Happy Valley will sadly be coming to an end after three dramatic seasons this Sunday (5th February). We know, we're not ready either. Whilst we're not ready to let the series go, we are very invested in seeing how the show will end, and fans think there's been a massive finale spoiler hiding in plain sight in the Happy Valley poster.

The art work for season three was realised months ago when the third series was announced, with a poster featuring Catherine (Sarah Lanchashire), Tommy (James Norton) and Ryan (Rhys Connah) front and centre. But it's a small detail to the side of the poster which has fans thinking the end has been in front of us this whole time.

Journalist David Chipakupaku tweeted that the abandoned bike in the right hand corner of the poster and something on fire in the distance could indicate the ending of Happy Valley.

He tweeted: "++ Potential #HappyValley Spoilers! ++ Has the ending been staring us in the face all along?

"This is the artwork for series three, which was released more than a month ago. You can see the road bike Tommy uses circled (crassly) in red. And then, in blue…a massive fire…"

In case you missed it Tommy escaped from court on a bike in episode four, so it definitely looks like Tommy could be close to or even responsible for the fire that is seen in the background.

Ok, but then what is on fire? Well David Chipakupaku reckons it could be Nev's place, which many fans on Twitter agreed with too.

Others think it could be Catherine's place, which would also feels like a very strong possibility.

Either way we will discover the ending of Happy Valley season three on Sunday evening and we expect the episode will go out with a bang as the series is ending after Sunday's episode.

The show's executive producer Will Johnston said at a BFI screening there are no plans to renew the series and it had always been planned to only run for three seasons.

He said: "It definitely isn't coming back – and again this is [from] Sally and Sarah who completely and rightly feel that you can have too much of a good thing.

"We're really not doing any more. You're a few weeks away from the ending but when you get to it, I really hope you'll feel content that if that's the last you ever see of the characters of Happy Valley, it was a big way to go out."

Ok, we're going to need some time to process this information.
