Wynyard Group announces newly-created executive role

Mr Chris Stauber joins Wynyard executive team

5 October 2015, Auckland - Wynyard Group (NZX:WYN.NZ - News), a market leader in serious crime-fighting software, has appointed Mr Chris Stauber in the newly created executive role of Senior Vice President Product, following an extensive international search.

Reporting directly to the CEO, Stauber joins the Wynyard executive team with responsibility for leading the company’s product vision and strategy across research, engineering, product management and product marketing. Stauber will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area where Wynyard plans to hub its product management and product marketing functions from early 2016.

Wynyard has positioned itself as a market leader in an US$8 billion crime fighting and security software market which is growing at 11% annually. Stauber will play a key role in ensuring the company extends its product leadership position.

Stauber has over 30 years of experience in high growth software companies building product strategy, specifications, engineering and development of enterprise software applications for multi-national companies, consulting firms, and small business. Stauber has created scalable, profitable software products for ERP, supply chain, energy and emissions management, taxation, and IT Infrastructure leveraging advanced technologies, methodologies, and high-performance teams.

Prior to joining Wynyard, Stauber led the products organization for BMC Software’s Cloud and Data Center Automation business unit. Characterized as one of BMC’s highest growth potential businesses, Stauber led the repositioning of the portfolio as a modern, market-leading solution helping customers battle cyber threats with automated patch management, network, and server automation. Prior to BMC, he spear-headed GT Nexus’ transition to modern SaaS development processes, accelerating product release while significantly improving product quality and the user’s experience. Stauber has also previously held senior product leadership roles at Siebel Systems and Oracle.

Wynyard continues to aggressively expand its global operations and has invested in new releases of Wynyard Advanced Crime Analytics (ACA) and Investigations Case Management (ICM) in 2015. The company will also launch Wynyard Advanced Cyber Threat Analytics (ACTA) in 2H15. ACTA is an advanced product which leverages the company’s big data analytics platform to help prevent and solve high consequence cyber crime and gives Wynyard access to an estimated $1.2 billion software and services market, growing at 14 percent per annum.
