Who’s the best with money at Yahoo Finance?

The Yahoo Finance team spends the entire year giving you all the news and information you need to manage your financial life. But what about their own? How are the reporters, editors, and producers behind all this coverage approaching their own money goals?

With 2018 wrapping up, we did an internal survey to see what kinds of money resolutions our teammates made — and how well they stuck to them. We also asked about new resolutions for 2019, and we got some varied results. From paying down student debt to upping investments, the Yahoo Finance folks have clearly put some thought into this.

A common theme among the staff is dealing with those pesky student loans. “I have a few money resolutions for 2019,” Zack Guzman says. “One, at the top of the list is paying down my student debt.”

Alexis Keenan is in the same boat, as she’s tackling an entire education in one “because it’s undergrad, it’s law school, it’s grad school, all combined together,” she says.

And for Brian Cheung, student loan debt isn’t something he has to worry about in 2019, but it is on his mind. “I don’t have any student debt, but I’m in grad school right now,” he says. “So I’m accruing student debt.”

Yahoo Finance wants to help you get on the right foot with your finances in 2019. Take our survey to tell us how you did with your money in 2018 and where you need the most help in 2019. We’ll be here to help you reach your goals.
