Yahoo Finance Zoë Kravitz on why she was "drawn" to boyfriend Channing Tatum
Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum's romance is one we truly did not see coming, but that we fully embraced once photos of the couple looking v cosy emerged online. "I felt, even from afar, before I knew him, that he was a feminist and that he wasn't afraid of exploring that darkness, because he knows he's not that," Zoë told the Wall Street Journal Magazine. "That's why I was drawn to him and wanted to meet with him. And I was right."
The actor turned director went on to discuss why she chose to cast Channing in her upcoming directorial debut, Pussy Island. "I think that's exciting to watch someone who's mostly played boy next door, good guy, love interest, all of that," Zoë shared, adding that Channing had been her "first choice" for the role of Slater King, a tech mogul that she thought should be played by "someone who hadn't played a dark character before."
And working together closely on set has clearly had a positive impact on the couple's romance. "When you make things with people it's a very sacred space, and when you're compatible with somebody creatively it often opens up other channels, because you're kind of sharing all of yourself," the Batman and Big Little Lies star went on. "I'm really grateful that this movie has brought him into my life that way."
