The Rancho Mirage, Calif., home of Marion Davies is for sale for $3,399,999.

The lavish 2.77-acre compound was originally built by the actress, who began her career in silent films and later moved into comedic roles, in 1956, five years after the death of her lover and newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst.

The nine-bedroom home has 11 bathrooms and nearly 14,000 square feet of living space.
