Adele most recent album, “25,” sold more than eight million copies in 2015 alone. That’s more than the year’s second and third best selling albums – “1989” by Taylor Swift and “Purpose” by Justin Bieber – combined.

And as a reward, Sony Music inked the British pop star to US$130-million contract – one of the largest in history – earlier this week.
