Analyst sees stock market bottom 'probably' in August

STORY: The stock market's brutal year neared a grim milestone as the S&P 500's slide on Friday threatened to leave it in a bear market for the first time since March 2020, fueled by worries over sky high inflation, a hawkish Federal Reserve and future economic growth.

"I suspect that we will see the bottom in the stock market probably in the traditional summer months, particularly maybe August, when liquidity tends to dry up as people go on vacation," said Jones. "That's a good time, historically, for the cascade of fear to hit."
