Beer demand is resilient, Evercore analyst says after meeting with Molson Coors CEO

BRIAN SOZZI: All right, consumers aren't viewing their can of beer as a discretionary purchase, at least, beer out of Molson Coors. Evercore ISI met with Molson Coors CEO Gavin Hattersley this week and came away with the view that beer demand is resilient year to date. Hattersley reportedly told Evercore ISI that demand for Miller Lite and Coors Light remains healthy in the current quarter. The investment bank rates Molson Coors at an outperform rating.
